Xin Yi District

信義區

I am here in the Xin Yi District of Taipei all day today. It has been a while since I was at this particular venue. I think the last time I was here was to attend a friend’s wedding banquet, before COVID.

I thought, since I’m in Xin Yi District already, I would be excited to go out and look around after meetings.

But the reality is, when I’m done, I pack my laptop and take the MRT home straight because I’m exhausted.

Reality doesn’t necessarily align with imagination—and I just proved that to myself today.

方方今天一整天都在信義區。很久沒有來這一個開會的地方了，上一次來這，應該是參加一個同學的婚禮，而且那是疫情前。

我本來以為，今天結束後，我會在信義區晃晃、看看，這邊這麼熱鬧的有聖誕燈點綴。

但實際上是，結束完一天的會議後，我就把電腦收收直接走去隔壁搭捷運回家了，已經沒電需要回家充電了。

今天的故事告訴我，現實跟想像不總是一樣。
