電動手扶梯

I lost and found my AirPods at the TPE airport last night. I was lucky, but there is more I wanted to write about.

‼️If you’re travelling and taking an escalator with your luggage, be careful if there are people behind you with heavy suitcases.‼️

This is precisely what happened to me last night.

I was almost at the ground, one-third of the way down the escalator, and I had a small carry-on luggage, and a personal bag sitting on top of it. A friend of mine was in front of me, helping with my large luggage, and he was almost approaching the ground.

At this time, a group of travellers behind us had heavy luggage, also taking the elevator, and the woman right behind me dropped her heavy suitcase by accident; I heard her scream.

I saw the heavy luggage roll from behind on the escalator at high speed. It could be hazardous.

At the blink of an eye, the only thing I can do is let her suitcase bump into mine, and try my best to avoid getting hit by her baggage.

All I can do is turn sideways. And let the two suitcases collide.

My carry-on luggage fell, and the bag (which is attached to AirPods on the side) on top of the luggage also fell.

However, the collision reduced the speed of the heavy rolling luggage, and we were approaching the ground. So the rolling luggage stopped and did not roll further toward the friend in front of me.

You would think the story stops here.

No.

The lady who accidentally rolled her luggage behind me felt so sorry that she kept apologizing and moving towards me.

I was picking up my luggage and putting the other bag back on top of the suitcase again when she moved towards me, and she fell again. This time, she fell at me.

My hand was holding the AirPod as I was putting the bag back on top of the luggage. With her body weight, the hook of the AirPods falls apart.

And this time, she did hit my shin.

It is because the accident happened twice in a row, the situation was chaotic, and I didn’t even double-check whether the earphones inside the AirPods were intact.

I was only able to know my earphones partway with the AirPods charger case when my iPhone popped up a message reminding me. That’s when I went back to the scene to recover my earphones.

‼️The key messages to take away are:‼️

1️⃣ If you’re taking an elevator with luggage, be alert, and be aware if people behind or around you are playing safe. 

A large suitcase, rolling from behind and above, comes with weight and momentum, making it hazardous. 

Maybe taking an elevator will be better.

2️⃣ If you are clumsy and have already created one careless accident, before you care about others, make sure you take care of yourself first to avoid the next accident.

3️⃣ If you also have AirPods, even if the case looks closed after dropping, make sure to open it up and double-check if the earphones are there.

昨天耳機失而復得的故事我來解釋一下過程。想想還蠻重要的，提醒將來大家旅行要注意。

‼️如果旅行你搭電動手扶梯，然後後面有人拿很重的行李，請你要提高警覺。‼️

我昨天AirPods內耳機掉了、又撿回來的事情是有過程的。

我拿著行李搭電動手扶梯往下，我在手扶梯靠近地面三分之一，而同行友人已經快到地面。我們上面有一組人大包小包的拿了一堆行李在我們後面，以手扶梯的物理位置，他們在我們上面。

其中一個大媽手滑，把他的行李滾下來了。我在他正下方。我聽到她慘叫。

當下真的是很危急，我眼見他那個行李在手扶梯滾下，蠻大一個又重，重力加速度，頗有威力。

好險我拿的是小箱的登機箱。上面掛著我的隨身登機使用的旅行包，AirPods耳機掛在那個旅行包外面。

當我後方有重物朝著我滾來，我沒有選擇—手扶梯並沒有很寬，我只能人趕快側身閃開，試圖避開被行李箱撞上，讓他的行李箱直接撞上我的行李箱，以免造成人的肉體傷害。

如果我是拿大的行李箱，我可能沒有地方閃。

前面友人的拿的是大行李箱，他沒有辦法閃，但是他已經快到地面了。

所以，最後是那一位大媽的大行李箱撞上我的行李箱，以及上面掛著的旅行包（也掛著耳機殼），我的東西全部倒在地上。

然後因為這樣子行李箱的撞擊有一點阻力，之前向下滾動的行李停下來沒有再往前面撞了。

後來，我趕緊把我倒地的行李箱和隨身包撿起來，我還在電動手扶梯上，不過我已經在手扶梯的入口接近地面。

這樣其實已經沒事了。照道理來說，故事應該結束。

沒想到，這位從我背後滾了一個大行李撞到我的行李的大媽，到了地面以後連忙道歉，她自己都還沒有站穩，卻一直問我有沒有什麼樣，而我正在把我倒地的包包扶正。

這時候，這位大媽又跌倒朝我撲來，我手剛好握著有掛耳機的那個包包，因為我才剛撿起來。

結果大媽她跌倒在我身上的重量，就壓斷我的耳機殼的掛勾，因為我撐不住她的重量，耳機掛勾也是無法啊。

反而這次大媽跌在我身上才比較重的撞到我的小腿。

就是因為這連撞兩次，一陣混亂，才會連耳機掉出耳機殼，我都沒有發現，看到耳機殼還在，也沒有打開來檢查裡面耳機是不是在。

是後來手機跳訊息通知，我才知道耳機殼跟耳機已經分開來了。然後我才再回去現場找。

‼️故事的重點是：‼️

1️⃣將來旅行如果搭電動手扶梯，如果你後面有人拿著大的行李箱，要注意一下他是不是冒失鬼。

這麼重的行李箱從上面翻滾下來是很有殺傷力的。重力加速度啊。萬萬不可以用身體接。一定會受傷。

也許搭電梯會比較安全。

2️⃣另外一個重點是，如果將來你不小心犯了第一個冒失，先把自己站好了，再去關心別人為佳。

3️⃣最後就是，以後耳機如果掛在包包，只要跌倒了，一定要打開來看看裡面的耳機還在不在。
